P.S.

These are today's other faves -

The end of the summer

"Hey little train! Wait for me!
I was held in chains but now I'm free
I'm hanging in there, don't you see
In this process of elimination

Hey little train! We're all jumping on
The train that goes to the Kingdom
We're happy, Ma, we're having fun
It's beyond my wildest expectation

Hey little train! We are all jumping on
The train that goes to the Kingdom
We're happy, Ma, we're having fun
And the train ain't even left the station"

Ah Nick Cave, I'll love you till my ears drop off, and even then I'll probably just pipe your music into my shrivelled spots where ears used to be...

Today I'll mostly sulking in bed, I'm so sad, we've finished the season, we have no festivals left, this morning I woke up clean and sober, when I wanted in my warm comfy bed rather than been shaken out of my damp cold tent by Joe, still half fucked, covered in mud, AND IT WAS RUBBISH.

Glasto sickness. AGAIN.

But I couldn't turn my back on the world for what I like wouldn't let me
But I couldn't turn my back on the world for what I like, I needed
But I couldn't turn my back on the world for what I like wouldn't let me
And I shouldn't turn my back on the sweet smelling Blackberry stone

RIGHT

Enough faffing, I'm going to actually start doing proper sorting everything out for my FMP which is lurking scarily round the corner, can't believe in a month I've got to be ready to do a presentation and have it look, you know, presentable.

Anyway having taken a little inspiration from my ever beloved Duane Michals's work I've been trying to get some nice atmosphere in my shots, heres some I did in France -

This is my favourite so it gets to be extra big -

Thinking reflections could be a really useful thing to use within the project, I bloody love a good reflection me, adds so much depth. Innit.

Here's some of the Duane Michal's beautiful beautiful work, I think his work is literally the most pure, beautiful, genuis, understated, abstract, intelligent I've ever seen.

(...very unbiased)

WHAT
A
FUCKING
G

I'm actually a bit unsure I could be friends with someone who didn't like his work, I have loads more to say but its tea time so why don't YOU listen to THIS, cos its ace -

Ello mate.

Currently in mourning for Boomtown. Very VERY distressing to be home.

Also, bit late to catch on but, how good is THIS?

Recently...

"Were all stars to disappear or die,
I should learn to look at an empty sky
And feel its total dark sublime,
Though this might take me a little time."

- W H Auden - The More Loving One

"Helter skelter in a summer swelter.
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter,
Eight miles high and falling fast.
It landed foul on the grass."

- Don Mclean - American Pie

Now to bosh out finding a house in three days, get a job, move back into a tent for three weeks, go Morroco and brace myself for FMP.

Panic? Panic.
