(I'm excited)
Hello.
(Today my "Christmas is deserting me" heartbreak has reached an embaressing level so I'm giving blogging a crack mainly to distract me from wanting to just hide in a Christmas blanket and watch The Snowman forever more)
Is it just me or is Christmas always so MUCH better than New Years Eve? New Years Eve is a bit like Valentines Day I think, you have such a massive panic to have fun that you don't actually have that much fun. Me and Mabs went on a party safari which begun with a surreal wonderful and wholesome posh dinner excursion and ended with us at a party which was essentially a sea of vomit and us sitting on the corner of the street waiting for a taxi wondering if daytime or taxi would come first, watching a man do a remarkably calm sick out of a 3rd floor window.
New Years Resolutions -
1. Maintain diary (/blog)
2. Learn to at least vaguely budget (rather than spending ALL money in a glorious but ridiculous first few weeks of silly purchases, over priced sushi and occasional embaressingly flamboyant bursts of generosity and then spending the last rest of term miserably rationing cuppa soups, ignoring overdraft fine letters and hiding in the toilet when our house's electricity card runs out)
3. Do a detox, maybe take up yoga and ideally achieve some poise (rather than bumbling along bemused, tangled in my own weave/ overly floaty clothing choices and humming fleetwood mac to my toes)
4. Stop eating houmous with/ for every meal. Chickpeas are not a food group.
